1. College/University Scholarships
Can be competitive or noncompetitive
competitive- scholarships you can apply for if you meet eligibility requirements
(ex. must have a 30 composite ACT and major in Music to apply)
noncompetitive- an amount guaranteed
(ex. $4,000 per year if you have a 26 composite ACT)
Scholarships are different for every college/university.
Scholarship deadlines are different for every college/university, and have early deadlines (as early as October 31).
You will have to formally accept the scholarships offered to you.
2. Local Scholarships
Scholarships that will be awarded primarily to Coffee County Central High School seniors
Applications will roll out in early January 2021.
3. Check for scholarships at your parents' workplace, bank or other organizations.
4. Other Scholarships- the internet is a good place to start your scholarship search.

must have engaged in a volunteer activity that occurred at least partly during 12 months prior to application date
Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship-application opens Sept 6, deadline is Nov 20
must have 3.5 GPA and ACT of 26. Leadership and desire to help others is a focus. The majority of scholarship recipients will be eligible to receive the Pell Grant (have financial need).
AXA Achievement Scholarship- application opens in September
Competitive applicants are those who are active in the community, have led projects that benefit others, or have overcome personal challenges.

SchoolHouse Connection Youth Scholarship Program-Provides scholarships to youth who have experienced homelessness-Deadline to apply is Nov 9.
